Robbie Fraser was born in Glasgow, Scotland. His first feature as writer-director, the teen fantasy comedy GAMERZ (a.k.a. GAMERZ: ONE GAME TO RULE THEM ALL and THE CHRONICLES OF RALPH), was described by Sight & Sound Magazine as “...simultaneously charming, idiotic and genuinely witty”. He has degrees from Oxford University and Columbia University in New York. He has worked in script development for various studios including New Line, Fine Line Features, Phoenix Pictures, Fox and Miramax. He has line produced various commercials and music videos for European clients in New York and Miami. As a journalist he wrote for TV Guide Magazine and Premiere Magazine among others (including a weekly US-wide column in TV Guide about videogames and interactive entertainment). He has been a judge of the E3 Awards. He is certified in the BBC location and studio production safety courses, as well as various modules relating to editorial issues and factual production.
